EUNICE, La. - The NIACC baseball team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 2 (NJCAA Division II) LSU-Eunice on Friday afternoon.
LSU-Eunice won the opening game of the 3-game, non-league series 17-2 in seven innings Thursday night.
LSU-Eunice (25-1) scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
NIACC collected two hits, both from Isaac Huettl, in the nine-inning contest.
NIACC starter Zach Dohrmann (2-2) allowed two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and one walk in 4 2/3 innings of work.
NIACC's John Skoro allowed one run on two hits in 1 1/3 innings of work. The Trojans' Mason Stroh and Preston Steiner each hurled an inning of scoreless relief.
NIACC (8-11) and LSU-Eunice wrap up their 3-game series Saturday at noon. It will be the final non-league game for the Trojans, who open ICCAC play Wednesday in a doubleheader at Ellsworth in Iowa Falls.
