
NIACC's Anderson earns ICCAC weekly honor
MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore Eli Anderson was selected as the ICCAC Division II baseball player of the week for the week of Feb. 12-18.
Anderson, an outfielder from Fairmont, Minn., was 8 for 12 (.667) as the Trojans' won two out of three games last weekend against Three Rivers CC.
Anderson also drove in three runs and scored two runs from his leadoff position in the batting order.
Anderson is hitting .586 with five doubles and nine RBIs.
Anderson is the first NIACC baseball player to be selected as the ICCAC player of the week since John Doty won the award April 3-9, 2023.
NIACC (5-2 overall) returns to action Saturday and Sunday in a four-game series at Neosho County CC in Chanute, Kan.
