NIACC falls to No. 2 LSU-Eunice, 17-2
EUNICE, La. - The NIACC baseball team dropped a 17-2, 7-inning decision to No. 2 (NJCAA Division II) LSU-Eunice Thursday night.
LSU-Eunice improved to 24-1 on the season. The Bengals' lone loss was a 5-2 decision to No. 6 Southeastern CC (Iowa) on March 10.
In the Bengals' 24 wins, they have scored at least 10 runs 15 times.
The Bengals scored six runs in the first inning, plated 10 runs in the fourth frame and pushed across a single run in the sixth inning.
NIACC scored its two runs in the fourth inning, including an RBI single from Charlie Harms. The Trojans also had singles from Alex Matchey, Eli Anderson and sam Kwapnioski.
Weather permitting, NIACC (8-10) and LSU-Eunice play a single game Friday afternoon.
