NIACC's Roberson earns ICCAC player of week honor
MASON CITY – NIACC's Deundra Roberson was selected as the ICCAC men's basketball player of the week for the week of Feb. 24-March 1.
It is the second time this season and third time in his career that Roberson has earned the league's player of week honor. He also won the award for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1 this season.
Roberson scored 27 points with five steals, three assists and three rebounds in the Trojans' 100-86 win over Little Priest Tribal College. He also scored 25 points with nine rebounds in a 94-76 win over Southwestern.
Roberson, who scored his 1,000th career point against Southwestern, ranks 11th on the school's career scoring list with 1,008 career points.
NIACC opens NJCAA Region XI tournament play at 7 p.m. Tuesday at home against Southwestern.
