Trojans move up to third in national rankings
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team is ranked third in the NJCAA Division II national rankings released Monday.
NIACC (4-0 overall) was ranked sixth in the preseason poll released on Oct. 21.
NIACC topped Kansas City (Kan.) CC 100-95 and Quakderdale Prep Academy 120-62 at last weekend's annual Konigsmark Klassic in the NIACC gym.
Kirkwood (3-2) is ranked ninth after being rated first in the preseason rankings. DMACC (2-1) is ranked 19th.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against the Luther College Junior Varsity. Game time is slated for 8 p.m.
