
NIACC's Roberson selected as ICCAC player of week
MASON CITY - For the second time in his career, NIACC's Deundra Roberson has been selected as the ICCAC men's basketball player of the week.
Roberson was the ICCAC Division II selection for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1. The 6-foot-0 guard from Columbia Heights, Minn. was also selected as the league's player of the week for the week of Jan. 21-27, 2019.
Roberson scored 29 points with eight rebounds and three assists in the Trojans' 115-103 victory over Central CC-Columbus last Sunday.
Roberson averages 25.9 points per game, which leads the ICCAC and ranks seventh in NJCAA Division II.
No. 2 NIACC (10-0 overall) opens ICCAC play Wednesday at Southwestern. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
Notes: Roberson has 722 career points, which is tied for 38th on NIACC's career scoring list ... Roberson has 81 career 3-point goals, which is tied for 21st on the school's career 3-point list.
