NIACC men fall to Kirkwood, 97-84
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 97-84 decision to Kirkwood on Saturday.
Kirkwood led 47-40 at the half and outscored the Trojans 50-44 in the second half.
Devonte Thedford led Kirkwood with 24 points. Also for the Eagles, DJ Purnell scored 22 points and Luke Appel scored 19 points.
For NIACC, Trey Sampson scored 21 points with 11 rebounds. Deundra Roberson scored 20 points and Quentin Hardrict scored 14 points.
Also for NIACC, Marshaun Carroll scored 10 points.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at Little Priest Tribal College. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
