MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team landed four players on the 2024-25 ICCAC Women's Basketball All-Region teams released Thursday, including two first-team perfomers in Tori Miller and Reggi Spotts.
NIACC's Keeley Steele was a second-team selection and Kelsey McDonough was a third-team selection.
It is the second straight season that the Trojans (25-6 overall) put two players on the first-team. Last season, NIACC's Madison Hillman and Miller were first-team selections.
Miller is the first two-time, first-team all-region performer for the Trojans since Autam Mendez in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Miller, a sophomore from Goodhue, Minn., led NIACC in scoring at 15.6 per game (in league games), good for sixth in the ICCAC. She was the ICCAC's top passer, dishing out a league best 86 assists in conference play.
Spotts, a freshman who is from Nora Springs and prepped at Mason City High, averaged 13.9 points per game (in league play), led the league with 56 steals in league play and was the ICCAC's most accurate three-point shooter (44.7 percent).
Spotts is one of three freshmen on the first-team. Other freshmen on the first-team were Ellsworth's Ella Sharar and Northeast CC's Aaliyah Jones.
Steele, a sophomore from Stewartville, Minn., averaged 14.5 points per game in league play. Steele ranked third in the league with 49 steals during conference games and connected on 31 3-point goals in ICCAC games (10th in ICCAC).
McDonough, a freshman who is from Nora Springs and prepped at Mason City High, was 29 of 68 from three-point range (42.6 percent) during ICCAC contests and averaged 5.8 points per game during league play.
Kirkwood's Jenny Twedt was the league's player of the year. The Eagles' Kaliyah Sain, a sophomore transfer, was the league's newcomer of the year.
Kirkwood's Kim Muhl was the league's coach of the year and Ellsworth's Favour Nmecha Anyaele was the league's defensive player of the year.
NIACC, which claimed the NJCAA Region 11-B title on Monday with a win over Ellsworth, faces North Platte CC at 4 p.m. Saturday in the in the NJCAA North Central A District Championship. The winner advances to the NJCAA Division II national tournament March 17-22 in Joplin, Mo.
