
Miller, Spotts power NIACC past DMACC, 73-56
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team cruised to a 73-56 victory over DMACC Saturday afternoon in the NIACC gym.
Sophomore Tori Miller scored 28 points and freshman Reggi Spotts scored 21 points as the Trojans improved their overall record to 22-6 and 12-5 in the ICCAC.
Spotts also grabbed 10 rebounds with three steals and two assists. It was Spotts's sixth double/double of the season.
Miller also had eight rebounds, four steals and three assists.
NIACC outscored DMACC 17-12 in the first two quarters to take a 34-24 lead at the half.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Keeley Steele scored 12 points. Steele had eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
NIACC freshman Tayler Helgemoe blocked a career-high eight shots and collected seven rebounds. Sophomore Karly Holm grabbed eight rebounds.
NIACC wraps up its regular season at Iowa Lakes on Wednesday. Game time in Estherville is slated for 5:30 p.m.
