
No. 11 Trojans cruise, 105-59
MASON CITY - The No. 11 NIACC women's basketball team rolled to a 105-59 victory over Central CC-Columbus on Friday night on the first day of the Iowa/Nebraska Challenge.
Sophomore Tori Miller scored a career-high 31 points on her birthday to lead the Trojans, who have scored at least 100 points in four straight games. Miller scored 23 of her 31 points in the first half.
It is the first time since the 2017-18 season that the Trojans have scored at least 100 points in four straight games.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Alexis Schroeder scored 19 points and sophomore Sonya Potthoff scored 16 points.
Miller, who is from Goodhue, Minn., also had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Schroeder dished out a game-high seven assists with five rebounds and two steals.
NIACC freshman Reggi Spotts scored seven points with three assists, three steals and one rebound. Sophomore Keeley Steele scored eight points with a game-high 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
NIACC (6-1) returns to action Saturday at home against Southeast CC at 3 p.m. in the NIACC gym on the second day of the annual Iowa/Nebraska Challenge.
