
No. 11 Trojans roll past Southeast CC, 107-51
MASON CITY - The No. 11 NIACC women's basketball team cruised to a 107-51 victory over Southeast CC Saturday afternoon at the Iowa/Nebraska Challenge in the NIACC gym.
It is the fifth straight game that the Trojans have scored at least 100 points. The Trojans (7-1 overall) rolled to a 105-59 victory over Central CC-Columbus Friday night at the Iowa/Nebraska Challenge.
Saturday's victory was the 75th in the career of NIACC's fifth-year coach Brad Vaught, who moved his overall record to 75-46.
The Trojans have won five straight games since dropping a 81-77 decision at NDSCS on Nov. 8 in Wahpeton, N.D.
Sophomore forward Tori Miller led five NIACC players in double figures with 21 points. Miller scored a career-high 31 points in Friday's win over Central CC-Columbus.
Also in double figures for the Trojans were Reggi Spotts with 16 points, Sonya Potthoff with 14 points, Alexis Schroeder with 13 points and Kelsey McDonough with 10 points.
Miller and Spotts both collected double/doubles as they both collected 10 rebounds. Miller also had seven assists and three steals and Spotts had four steals and three assists.
Potthoff had six assists, three rebounds and three steals to go with her 14 points.
NIACC opens the ICCAC season Saturday, Nov. 30 at Ellsworth. Game time in Iowa Falls is slated for 1 p.m.
