
NIACC remains 10th in NJCAA women's hoop poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team is ranked 10th in the latest NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday.
NIACC, which was also No. 10 in the preseason poll released Oct. 21, is off to a 3-1 start in the 2024-25 season. The Trojans own wins over Wilbur Wright College (97-31), Elgin CC (92-72) and Minnesota North College-Itasca (128-41). The Trojans' lone loss came at the hands of No. 23 (NJCAA Division I) NDSCS 81-77.
NIACC is averaging 98.5 points per game, which ranks fourth in NJCAA Division II.
Kirkwood is ranked No. 1 and Johnson County CC is ranked No. 2.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at home against Minnesota North College-Vermilion. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 7 p.m.
