
NIACC stops Northeast CC, 66-60
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team topped Northeast CC 66-60 in an ICCAC contest Saturday afternoon in the NIACC gym.
NIACC was led by sophomore Tori Miller with 21 points and 10 rebounds. She also added five assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
It was Miller's third double/double of the season and the seventh of her career.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Keeley Steele and freshman Reggi Spotts both scored 12 points. Sophomore Karly Holm scored eight points.
Steele also recorded a double/double with 11 rebounds. It was Steele's third double/double of the season and of her career.
Spotts also had five rebounds and four steals.
The Trojans' Karly Holm scored eight points with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Freshman Tayler Helgemoe scored five points with four rebounds, two bloked shots and one steal.
NIACC moved its overall record to 17-4 and 8-3 in the ICCAC. Northeast CC fell to 15-5 overall and 7-4 in league play.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Ellsworth CC in an ICCAC contest. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 5:30 p.m.
