
No. 15 Trojans stop Reivers, 81-68
MASON CITY - Sophomore Tori Miller scored 25 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals to lead No. 15 NIACC to a 81-68 victory over Iowa Western Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC women's basketball contest in the NIACC gym.
Miller, who is from Goodhue, Minn., was one of four Trojans in double figures as they snapped a three-game losing streak to the Reivers. Freshman Reggi Spotts scored 18 points, sophomore Keeley Steele scored 16 points and sophomore Karly Holm scored 10 points.
It was Miller's third double/double of the 2024-25 season and sixth of her career.
Miller now has 682 career points, which ranks 24th on NIACC's career scoring list.
NIACC led 28-17 after the first quarter and led 47-32 at the half.
Steele had seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Spotts had seven rebounds and three steals.
Holm had five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
Iowa Western (9-9 overall, 3-5 in the ICCAC) was led by Caela Tighe with 19 points. The Reivers' Sydney Donaldson scored 17 points.
NIACC (14-4, 5-3) returns to action Saturday, Jan. 18 at home against Marshalltown CC in an ICCAC contest. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 1 p.m.
