ESTHERVILLE - The NIACC softball team swept Iowa Lakes in an ICCAC doubleheader on Wednesday.
NIACC (25-17 overall, 14-4 in the ICCAC) won the first game 7-3 and completed the sweep with a 12-4 win in five innings in the second game.
In the first game, the Trojans received home runs from sophomores Katy Olive and Emily Jones.
Freshman right-hander Izzy Sloan (7-3) gained the win for the Trojans allowing one earned run on four hits with a career-best 10 strikeouts.
In the second game, NIACC hit a total of six home runs, including three from Madisyn Kelley. Olive hit two home runs and Thea Mattson hit one home run.
Olive led the Trojans with five RBis.
Brynn Stalberger (4-3) gained the win in the circle for the Trojans. She struck out a season-high seven while allowing three earned runs in 4 2/3 innings pitched.
NIACC returns to action Saturday in an ICCAC twinbill at Iowa Central in Fort Dodge. The first game is slated to start at 1 p.m.
