NIACC softball team ranked 15th in latest poll
- NIACC one of 3 ICCAC teams ranked
- Trojans return to action this weekend in Council Bluffs
MASON CITY - The NIACC softball team is ranked No. 15 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Monday.
NIACC (5-3 overall) was ranked No. 14 in the preseason poll released Jan. 22.
In the 2023 season, the Trojans were ranked seven polls with the highest being No. 15 in the March 6 poll.
Parkland College (13-3) is ranked No. 1 and Louisburg College (9-1) is ranked No. 2.
Kirkwood (7-3) is ranked No. 10 and DMACC (4-0) is ranked No. 11.
NIACC returns to action Friday and Saturday with four games in Council Bluffs.
On Friday, the Trojans play Indian Hills (11 a.m.) and Hutchinson CC (3 p.m.). The Trojans face Indian Hills (3 p.m.) and Iowa Western (5 p.m.) on Saturday.
