FORT SCOTT, Kan. - The No. 14 NIACC softball team topped Fort Scott CC 7-3 Saturday in its final game at the Ty Cullor Classic.
Also Saturday, Northern Oklahoma College-Enid stopped the Trojans 9-7.
In the Trojans win over Fort Scott CC, sophomore Brynnlin Kroymann was 2 for 4, including a double, and drove in a run. Sophomore Emily Jones was 2 for 4 with an RBI.
NIACC freshman right-hander Emily Rigdon did not allow a hit and no earned runs in three innings of work. Freshman right-hander Macy Kellar allowed two earned runs with three strikeouts in four innings of work.
Against NOC-Enid, the Trojans' Jones, Madisyn Kelley and Kaitlin Blair hit home runs.
NIACC (5-3 overall) returns to action Friday and Saturday in Council Bluffs. On Friday, the Trojans play Indian Hills at 11 a.m. and Hutchinson CC at 3 p.m.
