CEDAR RAPIDS - The No. 15 NIACC softball team dropped an ICCAC twinbill to No. 12 Kirkwood on Sunday afternoon on the Kirkwood campus.
Kirkwood won the first game 10-2 in five innings and completed the sweep with a 12-6 win in the second game.
In the first game, NIACC freshman Ally Wall was 3 for 3, including a home run, with two RBis. Katie Riesselman and Thea Mattson both collected hits for the Trojans.
In the second game, Mattson was 2 for 3, including a home run, with two RBis. Camryn Dilla also hit a home run for the Trojans.
NIACC's Izzy Sloan was 3 for 4 with an RBI, Elle Trenkamp was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Kaitlin Blair was 2 for 3.
NIACC (22-12 overall, 7-3 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home in a league doubleheader against No. 7 DMACC. The first game is slated to start at 2 p.m.
