NORFOLK, Neb. - The No. 20 NIACC softball team pushed its winning streak to seven games with an ICCAC sweep over Northeast CC on Friday.
NIACC topped Northeast CC 8-3 in the opener and completed the sweep with a 13-1 five-inning win in the second game.
NIACC moved its overall record to 24-8 and 8-2 in the ICCAC.
In the first game, Brynn Stalberger (7-4) gained the win for the Trojans. She struck out six and allowed three earned runs in seven innings of work,
NIACC's Brianna McPoland was 3 for 4, Ravyn Krachey was 2 for 2 with an RBI, Brynnlin Kroymann was 1 for 2 with an RBI.
In the second game, Laken Lienhard (12-2) tossed a 3-hitter allowing one earned run with seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
NIACC pounded out 17 hits to score its 13 runs in the second game, including two home runs from sophomore Sydney Toman.
NIACC's Lienhard, Toman, Katy Olive and Ravyn Krachey all collected three htis. Lienhard and Toman both had three RBIs.
Toman, who has 15 career home runs, leads the Trojans this season with 10 home runs.
NIACC and Northeast CC wrap up their four-game series Saturday. The first game is slated to start at 1 p.m.
