WEST BURLINGTON - The NIACC softball team moved its record to 6-0 with a pair of wins Friday at the Southeastern Turf Tournament in the Southeastern CC Dome.
NIACC topped North Platte CC 17-4 in five innings and blanked Southeastern CC 7-0.
In the game against North Platte CC, freshman right-hander Brynn Stalberger (3-0) picked up the win in the circle for the Trojans. She allowed four runs on three hits with a season-high nine strikeouts.
Sophomore Ravyn Krachey was 2 for 2 with two RBIs, Brianna McPoland was 3 for 3 with five RBIs and Emily Jones was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
In the win over host Southeastern, sophomore right-hander Laken Lienhard pitched a complete-game shutout. She allowed two hits with nine strikeouts and one walk.
Lienhard (2-0) now has 173 career strikeouts, which ranks fifth on the school's career strikeout list.
NIACC's Sydney Toman was 2 for 3 with two doubles. Krachey was 1 for 3, incuding a double, and two RBIs and McPoland was 1 for 3 with two RBIs.
NIACC returns to action Saturday with a pair of games. The Trojans face Morton College at 5 p.m. and play Black Hawk College-Moline at 7 p.m.
