
NIACC falls to No. 8 Tritons
FORT DODGE - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 8 Iowa Central Wednesday night in an ICCAC contest.
The Tritons (11-2 overall, 2-0 in the ICCAC) won 25-8, 25-23, 25-21.
NIACC's Alicia Machacek had eight kills and one block. The Trojans' Kenedee Frayne had 10 digs and nine assists.
Also for the Trojans, Kinsey Anderson had 16 digs. Destiny Reasner had five digs, Ellie Hanna had three blocks and Emma Miller had nine digs, three kills and two blocks.
NIACC's Megan Tobin had seven kills, four digs and one block. Kit Byars had two blocks and one ace serve, Emily Opstvedt had 10 assists and one ace serve, Hannah Brinkman had five kills and one block and Alana Burton had one kill.
NIACC (6-8, 1-1) returns to action at the Heartland CC Tournament Friday and Saturday in Normal, Ill. The Trojans play Harper College and No. 14 Sauk Valley CC on Friday and No. 7 Heartland CC and No. 3 Parkland College on Saturday.
