Two Trojans earn all-region volleyball honors
MASON CITY - Two NIACC volleyball players earned all-NJCAA Region 11 Division II honors.
Sophomore libero Kennedy Schwiesow was a second-team all-region selection. Sophomore right-side hitter Jaida Hansen was a third-team selection.
Schwiesow, who is from St. Ansgar, led the Trojans with 635 digs. She also contributed 92 assists and 32 ace serves.
Hansen, who is from St. Cloud, Minn., led the Trojans with 301 kills. She was also third on the team with 97 blocks.
Schwiesow's 635 assists this season ranks third on the school's all-time single-season list. Schwiesow collected 871 career digs, which ranks sixth on the school's career digs list.
