NIACC's Schwiesow earned NJCAA player of week honor
MASON CITY - NIACC sophomore Kennedy Schwiesow was selected as the NJCAA Division II volleyball player of the week for the week of Oct. 9-15.
Schwiesow was also selected as the ICCAC Division II volleyball player of the week for the week of Oct. 9-15.
Schwiesow, a libero from St. Ansgar, recorded 74 digs as the Trojans in three matches as they gained wins over Iowa Lakes and Marshalltown CC.
Against Marshalltown CC, Schwiesow recorded a career-best 35 digs.
NIACC is playing in the Iowa Central Triton Invitational Friday and Saturday in Fort Dodge.
