
NIACC women stop DMACC, 95-90

BOONE - The NIACC women's basketball team outscored DMACC 95-90 Wednesday in the regular season finale for both teams
The 95 points by NIACC was the most by the Trojans against DMACC since a 110-85 win in Boone in the 2018-19 season.
With the win, NIACC (22-7 overall, 15-5 in ICCAC) earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming regional tournament. The Trojans host sixth-seed Northeast CC at 1 p.m. Saturday in the opening round of the NJCAA Region 11-B tournament.
The winner of the NIACC/Northeast CC contest faces either second-seed Iowa Western or seventh-seed Southwestern in the Region 11-B title game on March 4.
NIACC's 22 wins this season ties the most win for the Trojans in Brad Vaught era. The Trojans were 22-9 in the 2021-22 campaign.
In Wednesday's win over the Bears, NIACC sophomore Keiara Anderson scored a career-high 29 points, including a 6-of-8 performance from 3-point range. Anderson also contributed four rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Anderson's previous career-high was 25 points against Kirkwood on Feb. 14, 2024.
Also for the Trojans Saturday, freshman Tori Miller scored 18 points with eight rebounds and eight assists. Keeley Steele scored 17 points with five rebounds and two steals.
NIACC's Zhane Singer scored eight points with two rebounds.
