
Miller's double/double powers NIACC women, 62-60
NORFOLK, Neb. - Freshman Tori Miller posted her third career double/double on Saturday to lift the NIACC women's basketball team to a narrow 62-20 victory over Northeast CC in an ICCAC contest.
Miller, who is from Goodhue, Minn., scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with a career-best five steals and two assists. Miller also had double/doubles against Bryant & Stratton (19 points/14 rebounds) and Black Hawk College-Moline (13 points/11 rebounds) at the season-opening Konigsmark Klassic.
NIACC (10-4 overall, 3-2 in the ICCAC) led 16-12 after the first quarter and the Trojans increased their lead to 35-25 at the half.
Northeast CC, however, outscored the Trojans 35-27 in the second half to trim the final deficit to two points. It was NIACC's first win at Northeast CC since topping the Hawks 67-62 on Dec. 4, 2021.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Madison Hillman scored eight points with seven rebounds. Sophomore Keiara Anderson scored seven points with nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Freshman Lilly Radcliffe scored seven points and collected four rebounds.
Northeast CC was led by Allison Richards with 18 points and six rebounds. Stevi Fallis was next in line for the Hawks with 13 points.
NIACC returns to action Jan. 3 at home against Ellsworth in an ICCAC contest. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 3 p.m.
