NIACC's Hillman selected as ICCAC player of week
MASON CITY – NIACC's Madison Hillman was selected as the ICCAC Division II women's basketball player of the week for the week of Nov. 6-12.
Hillman, a 6-foot-2 freshman from St. Ansgar, shared the Division II weekly honor with Iowa Central's Laney Pilcher.
Hillman is the first NIACC women's basketball player to earn the league's weekly honor since Audrey Martinez-Stewart won the award for the week of Feb. 13-19, 2023.
During the week of Nov. 6-12, Hillman scored 22 points with nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 79-67 victory over the William Penn Junior Varsity on Nov. 7.
She also scored 12 points with five rebounds in a 106-36 win over Minnesota North-Itasca on Nov. 11 at the AmericaInn Classic in Wahpeton, N.D.
NIACC (5-2 overall) returns to action Nov. 20 at home against the Graceland University Junior Varsity.
