NIACC falls to Indian Hills, 3-0
OTTUMWA - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Indian Hills on Sunday in an ICCAC contest.
Indian Hills, which has won 10 straight matches, won 25-15, 25-18, 25-8.
"(Sunday) was a difficult challenge playing a top DI JUCO," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said of the 11-5 Warriors, "and obviously our game plan was to be able to compete at a higher level.
"It was a challenge to sustain momentum (Sunday) especially as we gave ourselves too many unforced errors."
NIACC (7-8 overall, 7-8 in the ICCAC) was led by sophomore Becca Steffen with eight kills, 16 assists, seven digs and three ace serves. Freshman Grace Tobin had eight kills and seven digs.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Bri Powers had six digs and three assists, Samantha Coron had three digs, Megan Hollander had two kills and one block, Halsie Keltner had two kills and Emily Jacobson had two kills.
