
NIACC falls to DMACC, 3-0
MASON CITY - The No. 18 NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 20 DMACC Tuesday night in an ICCAC match in the NIACC gym.
DMACC (5-2 overall, 5-2 in the ICCAC) won 25-19, 25-15, 25-15.
"We didn't have the results we wanted," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said, "but we continue to learn and ultimately grow as we move forward. Tomorrow is a new opportunity and every day on the court is a blessing."
NIACC was led by freshman Grace Tobin with nine kills, seven digs, two assists, one ace serve and one block.
Also for the Lady Trojans, sophomore Becca Steffen had 11 assists, five kills and five digs. Bri Powers had six digs, Samantha Coron had six digs and two assists, Emily Wittnebel had six digs, Megan Hollander had four kills and one block, Megan Vidmar had three kills and Emily Jacobson had four kills and three digs.
NIACC (2-3, 2-3) returns to action Thursday at home against Iowa Lakes (1-6, 1-5). Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
