NIACC goes 1-1 at RCTC Invite
ROCHESTER, Minn. - The NIACC volleyball team went 1-1 at the RCTC Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday.
NIACC topped Rock Valley College 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 24-15) and dropped a 3-1 (25-20. 21-25, 25-23, 25-20) decision to RCTC.
"We didn't finish as strong as we would have wanted," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said, "but overall the team worked on lots of little things - most importantly the mental errors.
"Defensively, we did a nice job getting the blocks as well as keeping the ball alive. Our offense did a good job making smart choices, especially during the chaos at the net."
Sophomore Kennedy Meister led the Lady Trojans with 29 kills, 25 digs, four assists and four blocks.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Bri Powers had 24 digs, Tessa Sienknecht had 13 assists and 10 digs, Kayla Lentz collected 28 digs, Becca Steffen had 19 kills, 46 assists and 20 digs.
