NIACC women stop DMACC, 76-66
MASON CITY - Amaya Doree and Audrey Martinez-Stewart both scored 20 points to lead NIACC to a 76-66 victory over DMACC in an ICCAC women's basketball contest Monday night in the NIACC gym.
NIACC also received 17 points from Kourtney Manning as the Trojans improved to 19-8 overall and 10-8 in the ICCAC.
DMACC led 28-26 at the half but NIACC outscored the Bears 50-38 in the second half to complete the regular season sweep. NIACC also topped DMACC 74-51 on Feb. 10 in Boone.
Doree scored 15 of her career-high 20 points in the second half. Doree's previous career high was 11 points.
Martinez-Stewart collected seven steals, six rebounds and five assist to go with her 20 points. Manning grabbed six rebounds with three assists, three steals and two blocked shots.
NIACC's Nora Francois scored six points with seven rebounds, five assists and four steals.
NIACC, which has won six straight games, returns to action Wednesday at Ellsworth in an ICCAC contest. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. in Iowa Falls.
