NIACC women move to 9-2
WORTHINGTON, Minn. - The NIACC women's basketball team wrapped up the 2021 portion of its schedule with a 64-59 victory over the Gustavus Adolphus Junior Varsity on Friday at the Minnesota West Classic.
NIACC (9-2 overall) closed the 2021 calendar year on a three-game win streak with wins over Marshalltown CC, Minnesota West Community and Technical College and Gustavus Adolphus JV. The Trojans begin the 2022 calendar year on Sunday at home against No. 1 Kirkwood in an ICCAC contest.
In Friday's win over the Gustavus Adolphus JV, Audrey Martinez-Stewart led NIACC with 22 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists. Jackie Pippett scored 12 points with five rebounds and Alyssa Hames scored 10 points with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.
