No. 6 NIACC stops DMACC, 77-62
BOONE - The No. 6 NIACC women's basketball team topped DMACC 77-62 in ICCAC action Saturday afternoon.
NIACC (16-1 overall, 3-0 in the ICCAC) led 37-38 at the half and opened up a 60-51 lead after three quarters.
Freshman Sydney Wetlaufer led the Lady Trojans with a career-high 27 points, including five 3-point goals, and career-best seven rebounds. Wetlaufer's previous career-high in points was 26 against Sinclair CC on Dec. 30.
NIACC also received 18 points and seven rebounds from sophomore Autam Mendez, 15 points and seven rebounds from freshman Sierra Morrow and 11 points from freshman Allie Negen.
Sophomore Kelcie Hale had eight assists for NIACC.
NIACC, which has won four straight games, returns to action Wednesday at home against Iowa Lakes. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
