NIACC women remain No. 1 in latest poll
MASON CITY - For the second straight week, the NIACC women's basketball team is ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Division II poll.
NIACC, which took over the top spot in the poll on Feb. 3, moved its record to 25-1 overall with a pair of wins over Iowa Lakes and Ellsworth last week.
Kirkwood (22-2) stayed at No. 2 in this week's poll. NIACC hosts Kirkwood on Feb. 22.
Last week, NIACC moved to the top of the NJCAA Division II poll for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
NIACC returns to action Saturday in an ICCAC contest at Iowa Central. Game time is slated for 1 p.m. in Fort Dodge.
