NIACC's Morrow earns ICCAC player of week honor
MASON CITY - NIACC freshman Sierra Morrow has been selected as the ICCAC women's basketball player of the week for the week of Dec. 2-8.
Morrow, a 6-foot-2 freshman from Minneapolis, recorded her second career triple/double in the No. 2 Lady Trojans' 84-81 overtime victory over No. 5 Lincoln Land last Saturday. Morrow recorded a career-high 29 points with a career-best 17 rebounds and 12 blocked shots.
For the week, Morrow averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5.6 blocks per game in three NIACC victories.
Morrow leads NJCAA Division II with 61 blocks.
Morrow was also the league's player of the week for the week of Nov. 1-10.
NIACC (12-0) returns to action Dec. 28 at the Illinois Central Holiday Tournament in Peoria, Ill.
