Trojans' Thomas places 15th in triple jump
LUBBOCK, Texas - NIACC sophomore Terrence Thomas placed 15th in the triple jump on Saturday at the 2025 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Sports Performance Center on the campus of Texas Tech University.
Thomas earned his 15th-place finish with a leap of 14.41 meters (47 feet, 3 1/2 inches). On Friday, Thomas was 13th in the long jump with a leap of 7.26 meters (23-10).
Also Saturday, NIACC placed 17th in the 4x400-meter relay in a season-best time of 3 minutes, 21.38 seconds. The Trojans ran Thomas, Quinton Ellis, Tyreese James and Gabe Hemsworth.
NIACC's Colin Rasch placed 18th in the weight throws with a personal-best toss of 14.45 meters (47-5), which ranks second on the school's all-time list.
