Trojans' Ellis sets school mark in 400
BROOKINGS, S.D. - Another day, another school record for NIACC's Quinton Ellis.
The sophomore sprinter won the 400-meter dash Saturday at the SDSU Indoor Classic in a school record time of 47.92 seconds. NIACC's Tyreese James was second in the 400 in a time of 48.26, which now ranks second on the school's all-time indoor 400 list.
On Friday, Ellis won the invitational 200 in a school record time of 21.37.
Also Saturday, James was fifth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.91.
NIACC's Colin Rasch was 15th in the weight throw with a personal best throw of 14.43 meters (47 feet, 4 1/4 inches), which ranks second on the school's all-time list. Rasch was also 17th in the shot put with a toss of 13.32 meters (43-8 1/2).
The Trojans' Rodney Ngezimani was 18th in the weight throw with a personal best toss of 14.06 meters (46-1 1/2), which ranks fourth on the school's all-time list. Ngezimani was also 21st in the shot put with a toss of 12.65 meters (41-6).
