Trojans set to compete at nationals
LUBBOCK, Texas - NIACC's Terrence Thomas, Quinton Ellis and Tyreese James will each compete in three events at the 2025 NJCAA Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Sports Performance Center on the campus of Texas Tech.
Thomas, who is from Antigua and Barbuda, will compete in the long jump on Friday. He will compete in the triple jump and run a leg on the Trojans' 4x400-meter relay team on Saturday.
Thomas is the school record holder in the indoor long jump (24 feet, 4 1/2 inches) and the indoor triple jump (48-0 1/2).
Ellis and James will compete in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash prelims on Friday. The two will also run legs on the 4x400-meter relay along with Thomas and Gabe Hemsworth.
Ellis is the school record holder in the indoor 200 (21.37 seconds) and 400 (47.92).
NIACC's Colin Rasch qualified in the weight throw and will throw on Saturday.
