COUNCIL BLUFFS — The No. 17 NIACC women's basketball team fell 77-62 to Iowa Western on Saturday.
"It wasn't a pretty game by either team," NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said. "We forced 24 turnovers and had 21. We just have to play better but a game like this prepares us for conference next Saturday."
The Lady Trojans (8-7) were led by 15 points from UU Longs, who also recorded six rebounds. Courtney Larson had eight points, Kelsie Willert and Sarri Happel each had seven points while Taylor Laabs and Cierra Stanciel had six points apiece for NIACC, which hosts DMACC at 1 p.m. next Saturday.
