ESTHERVILLE — The NIACC women's basketball team survived a poor-shooting night from the free-throw line as the Lady Trojans picked up an 85-80 victory over Iowa Lakes in ICCAC play on Wednesday.
"Iowa Lakes is a tough place to play," NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said. "We were down at halftime then used a big run in the third quarter only to let them back in it by going 16 of 32 from the free-throw line."
The Lady Trojans (9-8, 1-1) were led by 19 points from Morgan Cuffe while Hattie Davidson and Taylor Laabs each had 14 points.
