No. 14 NIACC softball team splits twinbill

TUSCON, Ariz. — The No. 14 NIACC softball team pounded out 26 hits and split with the Mayville State junior varsity on Tuesday.
Of the 26 hits, 25 were singles. NIACC opened the day with a 14-11 loss before rebounding with a 10-1 victory.
"We just swung the bats, and even our outs were loud outs," NIACC coach Christi Weiser said.
Kendall Cornick and Katie LaBuda pounded out five hits on the day, and Becca Huberty had four hits.
Sara Steinman earned the win in the circle in game two, allowing four hits in five innings.
NIACC (8-6) returns to the diamond Thursday against Pima Community College.
