BOONE — The NIACC softball team ran into a buzzsaw Sunday in the form of DMACC.
The Lady Trojans ended their regular season with losses of 7-1 and 9-1.
NIACC was held to one hit in the opener and had five singles in the nightcap, two coming from Kendall Cornick.
"I was pleased with the way we progressed in our at-bats," NIACC coach Chrsti Weiser said. "And in Game 2, it was a lot closer game than 9-1."
DMACC, which finished second behind Kirkwood in the ICCAC standings, improved to 25-3 in conference and 45-6 overall.
NIACC closed its regular season 19-29 overall and 10-18 in conference play.
