MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Hawkeye CC Wednesday afternoon in an ICCAC contest on the NIACC campus.
Hawkeye CC scored the lone goal of the match with 4 minutes, 58 seconds remaining in the contest with a goal from sophomore midfielder Annabell Veryard on an assist from Miranda Tyler.
NIACC freshman keeper Nadia Kaiser stopped 11 shots on goal in Wednesday's contest.
NIACC (4-4-1 overall, 2-2 in the ICCAC) returns to action Monday at St. Charles CC in a non-conference match in Cottleville, Mo.
