SHELDON - The NIACC women's soccer team topped Northwest Iowa CC 9-0 Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest.
The nine goals by NIACC was one off the school record of 10 goals that the Trojans set Wednesday in a 10-0 victory over Scott CC.
NIACC (4-3-1 overall, 2-1 in the ICCAC) received five goals from sophomore Karly Holm, who scored three goals in the first half and two goals in the second 45 minutes. Holm also had two assists.
The Trojans' Iola Vanharen scored two goals, one in each half. The Trojans also received goals Aryana Rashidi and Maya Gildroy.
NIACC's Emmalyse Bordignon collected assists on four of the nine goals. Other Trojan assists came from Noemi Nater, Rashidi and Rebecca Hillers.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Hawkeye CC. Match time on the NIACC campus is set for 3:30 p.m.
