DAVENPORT - The NIACC women's soccer team topped Scott CC 10-0 in an ICCAC contest on Wednesday.
The 10 goals by the Trojans sets a school record for goals in a contest. The previous single-match record was nine goals in a 9-0 victory over Marshalltown CC in 2023.
NIACC received a hat trick from Emmalyse Bordignon and a pair of goals from Iola Vanharen. Others scoring goals for the Trojans were Ikram El Ouadaa Zarrouk, Aryani Rashidi, Karly Holm, Kyla Oppold and Maya Gildroy.
Bordignon, a freshman midfielder from Marion, leads the Trojans with eight goals, Holm, a sophomore midfielder from Two Harbors, Minn., is next in line with six goals.
Rashidi led the Trojans with four assists and Gildroy dished out two assists. Others collecting assists for the Trojans were Makaylea Yackle, Vanharen, El Ouadaa Zarrouk and Rebecca Hillers.
Vanharen, a freshman forward from Ipswitch, England, leads the Trojans with seven assists. Rashidi, a freshman midfielder from Kevelaer, Germany, ranks second on the team with six assists.
NIACC (3-3-1 overall, 1-1 in the ICCAC) returns to action Saturday in an ICCAC match at Northwest Iowa CC, a first-year program. Match time in Sheldon is set for 3:30 p.m.
