SPENCER - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 non-conference decision to No. 14 Iowa Lakes on Wednesday.
The match was tied 1-1 until the 77th minute and the Lakers outscored the Trojans 3-1 in the final 13 minutes. NIACC fell to 1-2 on the season and Iowa Lakes improved to 4-1.
Sophomore Karly Holm scored NIACC's lone goal on an assist from Iola Vanharen. It was Holm's third goal of the season and Vanharen's second assist of the season.
NIACC returns to action Sept. 12 in a non-conference game in Cedar Falls against the University of Northern Iowa Club team. Match time is slated for 5 p.m.
