CEDAR FALLS - The NIACC women's soccer team topped the University of Northern Iowa Club Team 8-2 on Thursday in a non-conference contest.
The eight goals by NIACC is tied for the second most goals scored in a Trojans' women's soccer team just one off the school record of nine goals in a 9-0 win over Marshalltown CC in 2023.
The Trojans (2-2 overall) received four goals from Emma Bordignon and four assists and a goal from Iola Vanharen.
Bordignon scored her four goals with two assists from Vanharen, Karly Holm and Maya Gildroy.
The other four NIACC goals were scored by Carris Powell (assist from Vanharen), Ikram El Ouadaa Zarrouk (assist from Vanharen), Holm (assist from El Ouadaa Zarrouk) and Vanharen (assist from Aryana Rashidi).
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in a non-conference match at Kaskaskia College in Clinton County, Ill.
