
NIACC's DeLong wins ICCAC weekly award again
MASON CITY - Another week, another ICCAC golfer of the week award for NIACC freshman Meghan DeLong.
DeLong, who prepped at Clear Lake, was selected as the ICCAC women's golfer of the week for the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6.
DeLong won a pair of tournaments last week as she was the individual medalist at the Waldorf University Challenge with a round of 73 and the Hawkeye CC Redtail Classic with a career-best round of 71.
The round of 71 is the lowest total since 2006 for a Trojan women's golfer. Delong has won five out of the seven tournaments she's played this fall.
DeLong also won the ICCAC weekly award for the weeks of Sept. 16-22 and Sept. 23-29.
