NIACC's Keltner, Swenson earn fifth-place finishes at regionals
COUNCIL BLUFFS - NIACC's Halsie Keltner and Jordan Swenson both earned fifth-place finishes Sunday at the NJCAA Region XI meet.
Keltner placed fifth in the discus with a toss of 100 feet, 7 inches. On Saturday, Keltner placed second in the javelin (127-1) and was sixth in the hammer (119-4).
Swenson placed fifth in the high jump (4-11).
Also for the Trojans on Sunday, Lynn Hoeft was eighth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1 minute, 18.72 seconds and Calista Polk was 10th in the high jump (4-5).
NIACC placed fifth in the team standings with 48 points. Iowa Western was the team champion with 310.5 points and Iowa Central was second with 178.5 points.
