NIACC's Keltner places 7th in pentathlon
STORM LAKE - NIACC's Halsie Keltner placed seventh in the pentathlon Friday at the NJCAA Region XI Indoor track and field championships with 2,163 points.
Also, NIACC's Jordan Swenson was eighth in the pentathlon with 2,044 points and Lynn Hoeft was ninth with 1,649 points.
In the five events, Keltner was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (11.06 seconds), eighth in the high jump (1.22 meters), second in the shot put (9.71 meters), seventh in the long jump (4.30 meters) and sixth in the 800-meter run (2 minutes, 54 seconds).
Swenson was eighth in the 60 hurdles (11.44), fourth in the high jump (1.49 meters), ninth in the shot put (6.59 meters), eighth in the long jump (4.01 meters) and ninth in the 800 (3:01.72).
Hoeft was third in the 60 hurdles (10.49), seventh in the shot put (7.34 meters), ninth in the long jump (3.85 meters) and eighth in the 800 (2:56.86).
