MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team topped Scott CC 8-1 Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest on the NIACC campus.
NIACC led 5-0 at the half and outscored Scott CC 3-1 in the second half to improve its overall record to 3-4 and 1-1 in the league.
The eight goals by the Trojans tied the school record for goals in a match. The NIACC women also scored eight goals twice in the 2022 season and one in the 2002 season.
Freshman Hallie Levi led the Trojans with a hat trick, which were her first three goals of the season.
Freshman Karly Holm scored two goals for the Trojans. Holm leads the Trojans with six goals.
The Trojans also received goals from Irlanda Tangerife, Becca Hillers and Natalia Mora.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC match at Hawkeye CC. Match time in Waterloo is set for 1 p.m.
Hawkeye CC topped NIACC 3-1 on Aug. 30 in Mason City in a non-league match.
